Admissions

Administration Building

St. Elizabeth’s School is currently enrolling kindergarten and first grade students for the 2008-2009 school year.

Admissions Procedure

Completing each of these five steps will ensure an official application.

Parent Visit and Tour.

Parents/Guardian of each applicant will be asked to schedule an appointment to learn about the program, mission, and philosophy of the school and its extended day offering. The visit will be with the Head of School and/or the Principal and can be arranged by calling the school office 303-322-4209.

Application.

Send your completed application form, accompanied by a non-refundable fee of $50 to St. Elizabeth’s.

Student Visit and Testing.

Call to arrange a student visit/ assessment date for your child. Each applicant will take part in a small group assessment without parents/guardian present. In addition, parents/guardian of third grade applicants will need to make arrangements for their child to take the Differential Abilities Scale (DAS).

School Records.

All previous educational records (including report cards and standardized testing) must be filed with St. Elizabeth’s. Transcript Release forms are included in the application packet and are to be sent directly to the child's current school. As a general rule, applicants for kindergarten do not have a transcript. St. Elizabeth’s reserves the right to arrange for or request further testing if the admissions committee feels that more information would be beneficial for the decision-making process.

Teacher Evaluation Forms.

Parents/Guardian of the applicant must arrange for a completed evaluation form to be sent to St. Elizabeth’s from previous or current teachers. This would include all kindergarten applicants who have attended a pre-school program. Forms are included in the admissions packet.

St. Elizabeth’s School admits students of any race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the School. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin in administration of its education and admissions policies, scholarships and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
